SEOUL, South Korea - A South Korean news report says that former President Roh Moo-hyun has died after a fall while mountain climbing.

Yonhap news agency quoted police on Saturday as saying that Roh died after falling down a mountain while hiking with an aide. Police could not immediately confirm the report.

Roh has been under investigation in a bribery scandal over allegations that he took more than $6 million from a businessman while in office. He served as South Korea‘s president from 2003 to 2008.
