Small Scale LNG Projects

由此看来，即使在ms这样的国际投行眼中，LNG vehicles也只是个刚刚变成现实的事物。后面空间还大着呢，嘿嘿。

We believe LNG-fueled vehicles are fast becoming a
reality in China, as China effectively adopts the
“Pickens Plan”. China is forging ahead with LNG as a
transport fuel for heavy trucks and buses, according to
industry contacts. We see potential for significant
growth in this area as oil companies with skin in the LNG
game (such as CNOOC) pursue the LNG vehicle trend.
Several developments indicate momentum building,
including the Weichai Westport JV earlier this year to
manufacture natural gas engines in China and Volvo
Trucks’ announcement in October that it would begin
field testing of trucks that can run on LNG.
LNG as transport fuel in China may potentially
create a spot market for LNG... We believe ~25% of
China’s LNG imports may be used as transport fuel in
4–5 years, displacing 110–150 kb/d or 3–4% of diesel
demand in China (see p. 3). We are not calling for LNG
vehicles to take center stage in the China energy debate.
Rather, while LNG vehicles may be a small part of the
overall energy picture in China, the number of large
Chinese cities and high bus-to-population ratio make the
push to fuel trucks/buses with LNG a major source of
LNG demand growth in our view, and could potentially
lead to a spot market for LNG.
…allowing for development of mid-scale LNG plays
and opening the LNG field to smaller players. In our
view, LNG demand growth due to a ramp in LNG-fueled
vehicles in China would further support mid-scale LNG
plays, which would substantially lower barriers to entry
and allow smaller E&P firms to play the LNG game. In
our view, this theme would be constructive for GTLS and
DRC, both of which have meaningful exposure to LNG
capital investment (see our 11/17/10 upgrade reports).

路透香港6月8日电---中国石油(0857.HK: 行情)(601857.SS: 行情)旗下香港分支--昆仑能源(0135.HK: 行情)周三称,该公司将积极推广车用液化天然气(LNG)的应用,其中计划今年兴建230座LNG加气站.

昆仑能源主席李华林在股东周年大会後向传媒表示,去年中国发改委宣布五省八市的低碳经济试点工作,同时选定10个城市发展低碳交通,昆仑能源将重点围绕这些城市积极推广LNG的应用.

"昆仑能源要成为主要的LNG供应商."他说,该公司此前已收购中石油的江苏如东和辽宁大连的LNG接收站,这些接收站使用国外进口天然气;该公司并计划在国内兴建18座LNG加工厂,把国内天然气进行气化,这些加工厂已开始陆续投产.

昆仑能源目前专注于"以气代油",推动载重卡车、公交车辆、钻机和船舶使用LNG作为动力燃料,替代柴油.

李华林说,此前该公司与海口市政府签署战略协定合作购买LNG公车辆和投资建设公交场站等基础设施,下一步将与河北保定市落实类似的战略合作.

他表示,昆仑能源今年计划兴建230座LNG加气站,而该公司于"十二五"期间(2011-15年)计划兴建1,000-2,000座LNG加气站.

根据投行中国国际金融此前预测,昆仑能源于2012年来自LNG的天然气销售量将达40亿立方米,业务毛利率30%.[ID:nCH0063665]

发改委去年启动低碳省和低碳城市试点工作,由广东、辽宁、湖北、陕西、云南五省和天津、重庆、深圳、厦门、杭州、南昌、贵阳、保定八市承担编制低碳发展计划,加快建立以低碳排放为特徵的产业体系,积极倡导低碳绿色生活方式和消费模式.

The Wuhai oven gas-LNG project will provide 50k tonnes LNG p/year, it is equivalent to the LNG consumption of over 10k LNG heavy-duty truck.

BEIJING, March 4 (Reuters) - China Natural Gas Company Ltd, controlled by PetroChina unit Kunlun Energy (0135.HK: 行情), has started building a plant in Inner Mongolia to chill off-gas from steel mills and coking plants into cleaner liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The first of its kind in China, the plant will start producing in August next year 500,000 tonnes of LNG per year from off-gas captured from the coal mining and metal-working industries in Wuhai city, said Black & Veatch, a U.S. firm contracted to do engineering and procurement work for the project.

Off-gas emitted by China's massive coking coal industry would be equivalent to roughly 12 billion cubic metres of natural gas a year if captured, the same amount China's flagship West-East gas pipeline sends from gas fields in the remote northwest Xinjiang region to coastal regions in the east.
