以上译作来自96岁译作家许渊冲先生。 
许先生从事文学翻译长达六十余年，译作涵盖中、英、法等语种，翻译集中在中国古诗英译，形成韵体译诗的方法与理论，被誉为“诗译英法唯一人”。
在国内外出版中、英、法文著译六十本，包括《诗经》、《楚辞》、《西厢记》等名著。

许渊冲先生提出“三美论”，即意美、音美、形美。
所谓意美，就是在翻译时要体现出原作的内容美；音美即要求译文押韵、顺口、好听；形美则是对诗的行数长短整齐，句子对仗工整的要求。
